There is no denying that Jeff Lang is one of Australia’s musical treasures. A superb singer/songwriter and of course, guitarist. He’s even appeared on Spicks and Specks. It was 6 years ago this Easter that I first saw Jeff in one of the tents at Byron. Maybe it was just beers but at the end of the show, well, I was a little emotional. It was that good and I’ve been hooked ever since. If you are already into Jeff I have a treat for you. If not, this is perfect way to get sample his music. With Jeff’s approval, The Trader’s Den is hosting two torrents which are out of print live recordings. The first is Disturbed Folk from 1995. The second is Real Scars from 1998. Note that you do need to register at The Trader’s Den to access the torrents. If you are already wise in the ways of bit torrenting you’ll know what to do. If not, grab a copy of Azureus and you’ll be on your way. And kudos to Jeff for allowing the CDs to be released as torrents. You won’t be disappointed. Remember Jeff has plenty of studio album with Discolcation Blues and You Have To Did Deep To Bury Daddy well worth checking out. Also Prepare Me Well is a great introduction to Jeff with tracks selected from various albums.
