The Darkness: The New Gods of RockFrom The Australian. All Salute These Gods of Rock: IT seems Bon Scott may never find his peace. Just when it appeared the former AC/DC frontman - who died in 1980 - had been handed over to history, rock'n'roll comes back into vogue, his gravesite in Fremantle Cemetery is heritage listed and the Darkness storm into town to pay homage. Beginning their Australian tour in Scott's home town, the hugely popular British hard rock band was greeted by a full house at Perth's Metro City. The build-up was intense as the crowd waited for rock's newest prophets to wade through the haze of smoke and lights and launch into the brash Knockers, from the new album One Way Ticket to Hell … and Back.
