What does one think of when hearing the city Long Beach; the diet, the nightlife, the beautiful people? How about the Jazz Festival? The thing about jazz is that it can appeal to many different people since it has roots in several different musical forms. From hip hop to big band to swing or fusion which is jazz rock. This is the only Southern California Jazz Festival and it has more than just great funky music to listen to. Many local artists show off their paintings as well as art from outside the illustrious Long Beach. Held on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the middle of August each year, they boast many famous musicians.
