I was given Oakley Hall’s Gypsum Strings to review. They were unknown to me prior last week but I’ve done the review and can confidently now say that Oakley Hall are my favourite new band. Echoes are heard of Neil Young, Zeppelin, Pentangle, The Stones etc without being overtly derivative. At Oakley Hall’s website you can find two mp3s each from Gypsum Strings and a previous album Second guessing (which I haven’t heard as of yet). And via An Aquarium Drunkard, a mp3 of the burning opener from Gypsum Strings , Confidence Man. Go on. You can Trust me. You won’t be disappointed. Available at eMusic as well.
