History Of Lenny Kravitz - Kravitz's Ladies

Part of the history of Lenny Kravitz is the inspirational women in his life. Growing up, Lenny Kravitz had one main lady in his life, his mother actress Roxie Roker. Cousin of television personality Al Roker, and known for her portrayal as Helen Willis on the television show 'The Jeffersons', Roxie had a great singing voice of her own and encouraged her son to pursue his music throughout school and afterwards. Her divorce from Sy Kravitz, Lenny's father, in 1985 made a big impact on Lenny, but he remained close to his mother until she died of breast cancer in 1995. Lenny's album 'Circus' is filled with the emotion he felt over his mother's death.
