I hope to make this a regular Friday night feature of posting something special from various boots that I have. As I haven’t commented much on my devotion to PJ Harvey we’ll start with her. The version of 50 ft Queenie I have chosen is from a 1998 radio broadcast. Usually 50 ft Queenie is a frantic song but this version is much slower and really gets into the song. It is a great interpretation of this PJ favourite. Note that PJ will be releasing a collection of her sessions with John Peel. There is some good stuff in there as the boots will attest. Enjoy!
