Free Digital Sheet Music

Welcome to the Nick Manoloff project. A while ago I mentioned an interest in Hawaiian guitar. A trip to eBay caught me some old timey Hawaiian guitar instructions books. One was Nick Manoloff’s Hawaiian Guitar Method, Note System, Book 1 from 1936. So I’ve decided to work through the book and record all the practice pieces. The pieces tend towards being a tad quaint. But the idea is to simply hear what happens. Blue Bird Waltz was recored using n-Track. I recorded the rhythm using my Tele through my Behringer V-Amp Pro on a clean setting. A little bit of chorus added in the mix via n-Track. I then put my el cheapo lap steel through the V Amp using the Voxy Drive preset. A really nice overdrive sound for slide. I’m not really confident playing lap steel yet which is evident. But I’m interested to see how it all develops. Of course, I held the lap steel in the proper position for a gentleman. Blue Bird Waltz
