A Tale of Two AC/DC Books

Two biographies of AC/DC have recently hit the bookshelves. One is Let There Be Rock by Susan Masino, the other AC/DC: Maximum Rock’n'Roll by Murray Engleheart & Arnaud Durieux. Obviously the story both books tell is pretty much the same. Given the notorious reluctance of any of the current members of AC/DC to be interviewed in relation to any biography, one could be forgiven that a biography with participation from the subject of said book would not offer any new insight. Drawing from various interviews from various associates of the band, both books do a straight forward recounting of the life and times of AC/DC. But if the story is the same the problem is how do you differentiate between the two books? (more…)
