A Dylanistic convergence of coincidence

I like to have boots of shows I’ve been to. I’ve only scored two. One is AC/DC at the Syd Ent Cent back in 2001 and the other is PJ Harvey at the Enmore in 2003. Other than that it has been slim pickings. Back in 1994, I saw his Bobness when living in Japan. A copy of that show has been a bit of a personal holy grail. I had a tape of that show but that had long disappeared. I asked the local keeper of Dylan lore for some leads but alas they came to nought. Then last week, sifting through a box of old tapes, I found the lost Dylan cassette. Attempts were to be made this weekend to transfer the cassette to a digital presence. But instead I’ve found an easier way. I made another effort to see if the torrent sites had this Dylan show I was after. Previous attempts turned up nothing. And the string “Dylan Kokura” again failed. So I tried “Dylan Japan”. Going a little less specific found me the following Bob Dylan Japan 1994 Liberated Boot. It has only been uploaded in the past few days. Never mind that the city is incorrectly listed (Fukuoka instead of Kokura), the date (Feb 14) and the venue ( Kyushu Koseinenkin Kaikan) are correct. I’ve finally found it. Happily downloading away.
